EFE-PE’s Firefly Garden is a Verdant Display of Recycled Bottle Pods

Landscape architects EFE-PE recently sent us their delightful “Firefly Garden”, which they envisioned as a polka-dotted “carpet” of funky green pods. The actual pods were made out of recycled bottles on poles and look a lot like captured fireflies (hence the name). The ground underneath the bottles was covered with mini stones of all different colors and sizes, creating a grid-like background. In addition to the recycled nature of the art, the vegetation that surrounds it is rustic and requires little water to maintain, making this a green garden on several different levels!
