‘Fish Hotel’ Fishbowl is a Stackable Aquatic Condo

Contemporary condo design gets quite literally fishy in this stackable Fish Hotel [4] designed to mimic a modern high-rise. The quirky aquatic condo conceived by Teddy Luong and sold by Umbra [4] won Canada’s Build a Better competition with its simple but pleasing design that creates habitat in a compact space. The 7.5 x 7.5 x 8 inch ABS box holds an open-air glass bowl which allows for the tanks to rest on each other, making it appear as though they live in Jean Nouvel’s latest Manhattan condo [5]. The aquarium can be painted to custom match any interior, and the price is right as well – it fetches a modest $35 per floor.
