Flat Pack ZETA Lamp Unfolds From Interlocking Plywood Pieces
Florence-based ZPSTUDIO designed this brilliant flat pack table lamp, which is made from interlocking poplar plywood pieces. Dubbed ZETA, (because of its Z shape), the luminaire is made from a single laser-cut sheet of 38 cm x 38 cm wood. Functional, lightweight and austere, ZETA is a practical design that can easily adapt to any space. It can also be efficiently and inexpensively shipped, and upon arrival its lucky owner can assemble it in no time.
ZETA is part of ZPSTUDIO’s Easy Tech Collection, which is a series of ideas that shine a new light on everyday objects. The collection of objects and furniture is based on providing solutions that re-use readily available materials. The flat pack ZETA lamp is made in limited editions. Since it is crafted mainly by hand, it has a bespoke aesthetic with unique and almost imperceptible details – not to be considered defects – that ensures every piece is different and individual. That lamp utilizes low-energy light bulbs and comes enclosed in ZPSTUDIO’s exclusive box packaging.
