Seriously? It seems that sexy undie company Victoria’s Secret learned nothing from H&M’s clothing destroying debacle, because they were recently caught red-handed cutting up unworn merchandise themselves. A Florida woman was shocked when a Vicky’s employee took the $70 sweatpants she was returning to the store and sliced them in half right in front of her face. We really can’t understand why retailers keep doing this when the garments being ruined could easily be donated to people who really need them.

    It’s obvious, really. Having their product available at cut-prices (or, the horror of it, available free of charge) debases the brand. How do you not understand this? The only surprise here is that the clerk hadn’t been trained not to destroy merchandise in front of customers. If your business has an unsavoury side, keep it discreet!
