Istanbul’s first Apple store features a frameless, rectangular glass cube that sits at street level and illuminates from the interior below ground. The 18-square-meter glass structure allows pedestrians to look down into the two-storey store located on the shopping center’s subterranean level. On the interior, the retail space itself is representative of the traditional Apple design scheme, emitting a clean, no-fuss, open concept.
Although the Istanbul store is the first retail store of many scheduled to be completed by Foster + Partners, the prolific architect is also slated to break ground on the tech giant’s new Cupertino Campus in California this year.
