Remember GM used alot of pigs in crash studies, and I suspect that they are not alone in such madness. Animals are used in all aspects of manufacturing. To dismantel something and breathe new life into what you have removed does not make a product free from its orgins...recycled by vegan processes might be a good description of the footballs.
