    I think it is less about the cost of growing your own food and more about the control. If you grow your own, you know it\\\’s not adulterated with pesticides and other contaminants. You can also control whether you use GMO seeds.

    Before you start throwing your money at this idea look at what it is they’re offering. It is a box with pockets to grow plants on, there is no innovation whatsoever. You still need a costly grow lamp to add to your electrical bill that will outweigh the savings from producing your own food. The power companies would benefit more from this product than the consumer. There will be a higher carbon footprint from manufacturing and maintaining this glorified mattress than any benefits it offers socially or environmentally.
