There were several of these attractive chicken coops by “Rustic Coops” posted throughout West Coast Green. It’s great to see a project take the character of its materials (i.e. the “rusticity” of used wood) and employ it as a design feature.

Some of the most eye-catching stand-outs in the long line of booths were these lanterns made from recycled metal by Living Green Design Solutions. The finishes on the lanterns are also non-toxic.

This elegant Raintree installed on the Fort Mason docks harvests water from rainfall.

Sometimes sustainable design doesn’t look radically different from standard commercial products. These Calstar pavers are made with recycled fly ash. We thought they were cute.
