With roots in Greek mythology, Cykno references metamorphosis or radical transformation – as though riding the electric bike will provide a similar, modern day experience for users. Indeed, with designers Luca Scopel and Gianpietro Vigorelli behind the wheel, as well as advertising maestro Riccardo Lorenzini, there’s no question that the “Made in Italy” vehicle was designed to impress.

Complete with a monocoque frame, carbon fiber wheels and fork, and stainless steel pipes, Cykno also features a leather seat and other accessories that aren’t suitable for our vegan readers, in addition to a long-lasting lithium polymer battery that charges in just four hours. A single charge lasts 60km and the bike weighs only 26kg, and both the charging cable and battery are stored on board. Cykno is also pedal-powered with a torque sensor for easy use. So if you’re heading to Milan Design Week, be sure to keep an eye out for a host of swans brandishing beautiful bikes.

I am an Englishman living in a remote location near in the Fasano region Puglia. I live in italy for periods of two months or so then return to the UK for a few weeks and then back to Italy, thus I am not qualified to become a resident and cannot insure a car. In England most of the time I use a push bike to travel around my city. I am seriously considering purchasing a pedal assisted electric bike for mobility whilst in Italy. I have to travel down an unmade road for 2k before reaching a pot holed highway. I need an electric bike that withstand continual severe vibration and can travel on one charge not less than 40k and carry at least 20 kilos of shopping. What can you recommend and at what cost. Please no sales propaganda just hard facts.
