Designer Luis Lucido recently sent us his refreshing simple concept for a rooftop or patio vegetable garden box. It actually looks a little like the veggie patch we recently spied at the Bowery Mission – perhaps Lucido could a build a couple of his prototypes for them? The yet to be named farmbox has two spaces for hanging plants like tomato vines, and two small spaces for herbs like mint (which need to be contained to prevent the roots from expanding into other plants. The unit also has built-in storage which is always nice for people living in small spaces.
