Storm Stocker has a secret and it’s being kept by his or her parents. A Toronto couple recently ignited a firestorm by opting to conceal the sex of their baby, Storm, expressing that they wanted to allow their child to develop free from any preconceived gender constraints. As it stands the parents, Kathy Witterick and David Stocker, have only allowed their two older sons and midwives look beneath Storm’s diaper since the New Year’s Day birth. I think the parents are being respectful of their child. Imagine how far any of us would go if we didn’t conform to others unrealistic expectations of us.

I too have been planning to do this (just as soon as I have a child).
If they use English, which I assume they do, they (we all) will need to invent words to replace “him”, “her”, “his”, “hers”, “he” and “she”.
Perhaps “vee” instead of “he” and “she”.
Perhaps “vam” instead of “her” and “him”
Perhaps “vams” instead of “hers” and “his”
