Electric vehicles can help with attaining LEED ratings.  In an airport setting, this could include electric parking lot shuttles, electric pullers and trailers for baggage handling, small electric trucks for maintenance applications and electric security vehicles.

While the &quot;green-ness&quot; of electric vehicles is at least partially dependent on the source of the electricity used to charge them, they still produce no exhaust emissions, are quiet (reducing noise pollution) and economical to operate.
