filed under: Art, social design, Urban design

These eight-foot pink snails will claim Miami on November 19th – not because they want to take over the Earth, but because they’re an installation by the Cracking Art Group and Galleria Ca’ d’Oro. These giant snails will appear at key entrance points into Miami as well as the Art Deco Welcome Center over the course of six weeks, slated to make their first appearance at the Art Basel Miami Beach,  then making their way west to bask under the Florida sun. Read on to discover more about these strange creatures and their origins.
