Frankly, I find this advertisement at odds with the companies aim of providing sustainable undergarments. It is inconsistent to problematize one aspect of an industry– the manufacturing process, and ignore other aspects such as marketing. Photo-shopped bodies are simply contradictory to the wider goals esposed by the company and I think that the company should be considering if realistic portrayals of the human body aren’t as much a part of “change starting with your underwear” as choices of materials and methods.
“Contradictory to the wider goals esposed to the company” would be greatly debatable from person to person. This is the first advertisement I have seen for a greener alternative to undergarments. I believe that is at least one goal of the company is to offer this alternative option. Did they hit upon every goal that PACT has in their company in this advertisement? No, but did they leave some out. Of course.
I really like the red, not sure about have the same matching undies as my husband. It doesn’t hurt to try anything once though
