I would give this package to myself since I am a poor grad student who loves these products, but can’t afford them!

What a great contest. I’d love to win one – though honestly, I’d want to keep it for myself. Things have been a bit bleak over here, and a monthly surprise box would add some joy. Thanks!

  5. avengingophelia April 16, 2012 at 3:39 pm

I would keep it for myself! I LOVE Lost Crates and am toying with buying myself one of their housewares box subscriptions, but I’d love to try the eco box as well.

  6. jaydeorade April 16, 2012 at 1:37 pm

I would like to give this prize to myself so that I can share it with my mother. She is a community leader being current President of our Rotary Club and former president of the Chamber of Commerce. I have always felt she disregards opportunities to ‘green-up’ our community mostly because she isn’t educated enough on what is out there.

You might ask why I don’t just send it to her? Well for the simple fact that I doubt she’d take the time to actually go through everything and learn about what’s included. By sending them to me I can be informed and in so doing inform her about many of the great ‘green’ products and services out there other than infrastructure changes that I keep pestering her about since I work in Architecture.

Choose me and save a family! I’d love to share Lost Crates’ really awesome green items with my super-conservative in-laws who will be visiting me in a couple of months. This visit comes after a hiatus of three years; I got into a heated argument with them 3 years ago re: the merits of recycling (I was pro, they were not and were very animated/loud about their points). It was so uncomfortable for the rest of the time they were here because no one wanted to talk to the tree-hugger. Receiving the Eco Crates would be a great subtle way to share lovely recycled and “green” products with them without starting the now-infamous family feud again.

I would love to give this box to my mom for Mothers Day. She has been sending me box after box of goodies my entire life. Three boxes arrived Friday and another package today. I’d love to return the favor. She’s, well, eh em, a total shop-a-holic and gives gifts to everyone she knows—she’s always so generous and deserves this more than anyone I know (despite how much I’d love it for myself!). I also think this would be a great way for her to become more aware of the wonderful green gifts that are out there and know that she will then spread the word through her generous, giving nature!

  10. bebranka April 16, 2012 at 10:17 am

I’d love to share Lost Crates with my favorite contrarian and other friends not necessarily exposed to green items. I try to live as sustainably as possible. I would love to gift the people in my life who don’t live by green rules so they see how easy, fun and practical it is. Not only that, it can be aesthetic and can make you feel better about yourself and the world for doing it. And products speak more than words can.

  11. Deb April 15, 2012 at 6:28 pm

I’d love to have Lost Crates- to share its contents and the concept of sustainability with my friends and family!

  12. aydrien13 April 15, 2012 at 5:12 pm

    Lost Crates are great!

  13. luckimommabear April 15, 2012 at 1:14 pm

I would love to give this gift to my sister. She is a hard working stay at home mom who has homeschooled all 3 of her children. 2 of her children have since graduataed and my niece is 11 and my sister has done an excellent job at raising these wonderful kids. She deserves to be treated!

  14. agustien April 15, 2012 at 8:00 am

It took me almost an hour to subscribe, like in FB and finally post comments, but it’s worth it… because I really want this eco goodie box. I already imagine myself accepting those goodie box every month by mail…what a nice surprise :)

  15. maijabird April 15, 2012 at 12:19 am

My friend Vicki, would love this. She works at a residential school for at risk Native American children and would use this as a teaching tool for the kids!

  16. gourmetpens April 14, 2012 at 10:53 pm

I would give it to myself because I write a stationery blog and I’d love to review all these goodies! I know, I know… I’m not very generous, right? Thanks for the chance to win!

  17. Chupacabra April 14, 2012 at 10:46 pm

I’d give it to my tree-hugging husband–the most eco-conscious man alive–who is simultaneously losing his hair in grad-school and working a menial job paying barely minimum wage to help pay our rent (no sob stories, I promise. We do alright–just poor as dirt…). He’s a walking ball of stress and I think this would be just the pick-me-up he needs.

  18. bunigrl33 April 14, 2012 at 7:57 pm

I would like this eco crate to help me go further in my efforts to “go green” and to help educate my friends and family with the goodies I choose to share.

  19. drmaggiemoo April 14, 2012 at 6:29 pm

I would love to win a year of eco crates: after 7 years moving different parts of Australia (since 17 on my own, i am in Alice Springs at the moment, google it!), i am finally setting up a home for myself in sunny Darwin in 2 months time. I don’t own any house-related items, but i always dreamed that if i do, they’d be high quality & environmentally friendly. Part of settling down also means be able to dig a permanent veggie garden, make friends with neighbors & send gifts to family from a FIXED address!- i’d love to use eco-crates that way too :)

  20. fleebers April 14, 2012 at 4:25 pm

I love your stuff and would share with friends and family. We already do this with our garden plants, spinning fibers, household goods, trade skills, pretty much everything! We don’t just have have a greener home, we have a greener community that really cares about each other and the planet.

  21. alexandra_m April 14, 2012 at 1:07 pm

I would lovelovelove to win a year of eco crates. and I deserve them! why? because today’s my birthday!! but setting that aside, I have 3 other lovely and eco-conscious family members I’d share them with. we live in a fairly rural area where we don’t have immediate access to a lot of ‘high-profile’ eco gear.. well, except for what we do on our own, like biking to work and growing our own veggies in the backyard, composting etc.

this would be an awesome treat for us all!

  22. strawberrytech April 14, 2012 at 12:46 pm

I would like it! I’m a mom of three little ones, 6, 3 & almost one and I love being able to teach them about sustainable ways of being. Plus I can always use more cardboard for mulch in my gardens and worm bins! Also we are a very entrepreneurial family and seeing new sustainable products would be a priceless inspiration for both my b-corp obsessed husband and myself.

  23. yyyaaasss April 14, 2012 at 4:49 am

i would give it to my good friend in a different state. but i wouldn’t tell him that he’s getting it. how fun would it be to randomly start receiving a box of goodies without any explanation? he’s a green guy and i think he deserves a little good in his life because i know he’d pay it forward.

or i’d give it to myself because i’m great

  24. ltillman57 April 13, 2012 at 9:21 pm

I would give an eco crate subscription to my mom! She raised us to always be thrifty and conscious of our health and environment. I grew up knowing how and why to recycle, to reuse things like lunchboxes, and to give things away instead of throwing them out. Without her guidance, I would never be the environmentally savvy girl pursuing her degree in environmental engineering! She would definitely appreciate lost crates.

  25. Strong.karm April 13, 2012 at 7:56 pm

My brilliant 13 year old daughter. In spite of the difficult few years she has had with her dad and i parting ways she remain brilliant, inspiring and a champion of her belief systems. She is always insightful and poignant, i cant imagine anyone appreciating a special unique package every month more the she. And i am sure she would share with her little brother 😉

  26. chanel5naier April 13, 2012 at 7:55 pm

I would love to get one of these!

  27. Villy21 April 13, 2012 at 7:50 pm

This is great ! I want one for me . I live in Chile and the awareness of becoming green. Me on the other side, I have been trying to convince everyone around that we need to change and save our planet and that we could do it by joining forces, we still have hope. This initiative and inhabitat are of great motivation to me, I keep following their new green and eco friendly ideas, so I need this to show people in my country what we could do :)
    Thank you !

  28. ksanita April 13, 2012 at 7:39 pm

I LOVE Inhabitat… I’d give it to myself – I live in Greensburg, Kansas, and we are all about the green here!

  29. sianpunkrockgirl April 13, 2012 at 5:20 pm

I admit, I would give this to myself. I am disabled and live on $23 per day. So, any little thing is very helpful to me. However, anything I couldn’t use I would pass along to someone else with a smile card. *smile* Also, living small isn’t necessarily a “bad thing.” I have a small carbon footprint; bike instead of car, 550 SF. As so many people have noted in previous posts, giving back to the earth we live on is a very good thing!

  30. annd April 13, 2012 at 5:03 pm

I would LOVE to win these eco-goodies not only for me, but to share with my family. They are still in the dark about the efforts, big and small, that need to be made towards the green movement. Education and Knowledge are the key factors in creating a more environmentally conscious future. Getting my relatives started with the eco-subscription might just be the push they need to realize how easy and fun protecting the environment could be !

  31. SabrinaF April 13, 2012 at 2:30 pm

Nothing better than giving back to the planet. I’d like to give a subscription to my sister, Rachael. She is always doing her part, recycling, composting, conserving, supporting green initiatives. I think this would be a great reward for her. Green would be giving back to her.

  32. Eric Hunting April 13, 2012 at 11:41 am

This looks like a great opportunity to sample some eco-products that just aren’t available outside of a few major cities.

  33. jonna April 13, 2012 at 10:43 am

i would love to give it to my architect friends in my home country who like me are into a greener and more sustainable sure that “Lost Crates” products will give them wonderful inspiration and idea on how to be more eco friendly in their designs. one of my friend also have a blog about architecture and will definitely share this one to his readers and their clients too!!!

  34. jhk April 13, 2012 at 8:39 am

thanks inhabitat ! bring on the prizes

  35. celwong April 13, 2012 at 1:11 am

I would love to win one that I could share with friends and family. I have been trying to be more eco friendly but have found it expensive to try and replace non eco friendly things. I would love to be able to share items and ideas with friends and family so that they can be excited about being eco friendly as well, in hope that they will use items and ideas in other parts of their lives!

  36. luckygirl222 April 13, 2012 at 12:57 am

I’d give it to my cousin, Shane, whose hair started growing back when he went green and organic 2 years ago! :-) He and his family have been a wonderful blessing in my life. Their foster work and mentor work to troubled youths is inspirational. Their strong faith shows in everything they do and sets an example in their community. They are not judgmental. They are compassionate and kind. I am impressed by the many patient hours spent with their children, children in the church and foster children. They spend quality time teaching valuable life lessons, as well as quality time playing. I wish we lived close still!

  37. jensen33 April 13, 2012 at 12:49 am

I would give it this girl I know who has been sacrificing her time and energy to saving the animals in the world. She’s been surviving on 3 hours sleep every day the past month trying to cope with her studies and working on a project on small mammals. Lost Crates will be a pleasant surprise for her, because I know she doesn’t care for all the beauty products in this world. But it will be nice for her to know that, out there, companies and like-minded people are doing their part to save the world with eco-friendly products.

  38. sgschm April 13, 2012 at 12:09 am

My daughter, more than anyone I know, personifies a green lifestyle — she walks the walk in a most positive way! She is a camper, an avid hiker, a white water raft guide; she uses all natural boy care products, es enormously protective of the environment, and spreads the word of eco-consciousness daily. She would love ecocrates!

  39. s.s April 12, 2012 at 11:46 pm

It goes both ways…You’ve gotta be the change you want in the world and gently nudge those around you to follow your lead. I’d give these to both myself and everyone around me who has an open mind. I’ll be making my own GREEN TEAM ARMY!!! Eco Crates: Weapons of Mass Creation…!

  40. itsvirginial April 12, 2012 at 11:34 pm

I would give the subscription to myself because I have heard about tons of monthly box subscriptions, but do not find it in my budget to be able to subscribe. I especially love this because they are more natural and care about the environment. I love natural and organic products including those who don’t test on animals and are caring to the earth. I think it’s important, especially for young people like me. I would love to have the honor of getting surprised every month with some goodies!

  41. cupofkona April 12, 2012 at 7:56 pm

    To myself this gift, please!

  42. drcrackles April 12, 2012 at 7:21 pm

My wife would love this, and since I didn’t get her anything for our anniversary this might just keep me out of the dog house 😉 My wife and I are both very conscious of purchasing and using responsible and natural products, but it can get very expensive and we struggle sometimes to maintain our principles on a very tight budget. Since we are trying to have kids right now this would be perfect timing to receive such a blessing.

  43. mmarks April 12, 2012 at 6:52 pm

I’d give my parents a subscription to ecocrates. They have given me so much, taught me so much, supported me and still continue to do all of these things. I often talk with my Dad about ‘green’ topics and know he would appreciate this. Both of them love to read and continue to learn about the world, and what they can do to be better. I help educate them and vice versa. My parents have been through a lot lately and this would be such an amazing gift for two utterly amazing people and only the beginning of paying them back for all the good they’ve brought to my life. A pay it forward per say, to two very deserving folks. Thanks for the chance :) and for offering such an awesome and inspiring giveaway.

  44. the818 April 12, 2012 at 6:29 pm

I’d subscribe my hubby – he lovingly works with other peoples pups by day (and weekend!) and studies green technology by night…plus he’s always blue about never getting new stuff — a lifetime of hand-me-downs has given his a complex — I can’t see what would cheer him up more than monthly boxes of green goodies!

  45. ani7liana April 12, 2012 at 6:07 pm

I would like to be able to give my little sister a subscription to ecocrates. She will be leaving home to go to college next year, and will be in the middle of nowhere northern Michigan at Michigan Tech. She is very eco-conscious (going to study chemical engineering with a minor in environmental studies), so it would be nice for her to receive care packages that are also in line with her values!
    Pick her! :)

  46. samaytara April 12, 2012 at 4:46 pm

I would like this for myself. I love to be as eco friendly as possible but it is usually so much more expensive and we have a difficult time making ends meet. We just had a baby and I have student loans and credit card dept over $110,000. Plus it would help encourage my husband to think more green, I haven’t quite converted him yet.
Also as an artist living and working in NYC I make work based on my love for nature (you can see my inspirations on pinterest–I pin a lot of things from this website).
Also it would be a great first mothers day gift for myself, especially since my husband wont think of getting me anything.
    Please pick me!!!

  47. cryonyx April 12, 2012 at 4:37 pm

I would give this to my wife. She is always looking for new eco products but, being busy with our house and children, she rarely has time to explore.

  48. msophelia April 12, 2012 at 4:30 pm

‘liked’ both pages, and already subscribe to the newsletter – which is how i heard about this fabulous giveaway. :) would love to give a subscription to my husband (and me, if he shares!). he and i both work to be green – walking or biking when possible, using reusable shopping bags, recycling what we can, replacing older bulbs with LED bulbs, shopping locally, reducing consumption overall – and a little box of inspiration to give us new ideas and motivate us in being green would be a wonderful treat.

  49. regivizz April 12, 2012 at 4:29 pm

I’d have the subscription delivered to me, but would give each one to different friends! It would be a special treat for my friends who are very eco-conscious and it might encourage my friends who balk at the idea of going green because it’s “too much trouble”. It’s sometimes hard to be a good example in a place where the mindset is “we do it this way because we’ve always done it this way” but I’m trying my best! Thank you inhabitat for the opportunity to win this fantastic prize!

  50. sbhoyt April 12, 2012 at 3:44 pm

I would keep it. i have allergies to chemical and additives, so any products that are as pure as they can be are great for me !

  51. piepie April 12, 2012 at 1:02 pm

The idea of getting an eco-friendly box of goodies monthly is totally exciting! I actually just wrote about how much I loved EcoSalon’s Box and the idea of care packages, in general:

I would keep it for myself but I do like the share the wealth and pass things along to friends and family members when I think something might be a better match for them.

  52. Margot Core April 12, 2012 at 12:33 pm

To my daughter who is in her 20s and surviving in New York.

  53. cynthiahall April 12, 2012 at 12:09 pm

I would give the Eco crate to my partner & I. We’re trying to be authentic in our love for Gaia!

  54. mommak April 12, 2012 at 11:52 am

Pay it Forward- hoping for mass change in the world! I would love to win this because I am always searching for the best, most creative, and enviro friendly gifts to give to my family and friends. My hope is that each person receiving these earth friendly gifts would be inspired by it, and pay it forward – in a neverending forward projecting way, many people will make a difference in their daily choices, and things will really start to change!

  55. mollyrebecca April 12, 2012 at 11:35 am

I would give the crates to my brother’s girlfriend Jamie, her little boy has Cystic Fibrosis and it is imperative he stays as healthy as possible. I think that is much easier for her to do using all natural and or organic products but they can be costly and hard to find so having samples sent to her every month would help her find the best products to keep him healthy!

  56. jesskins April 12, 2012 at 11:00 am

There is nothing I have done that would make me truly deserve this generous gift. But to me, that is the beauty of what Lost Crates and what they represent – generosity, kindness and love. If I won this, I would continue the act and pay it forward.

  57. LadyEarth April 12, 2012 at 10:38 am

I would love this prize for myself – I’m an AmeriCorps Volunteer, working with youth in Brooklyn, and I don’t have the time or funds to buy green as much as I would love too. I also don’t have time for mysefl -its work, work, go home, pass out – but I love working with my kids, so no free time is worth it. I’m super conscious of environmental issues and I want to take a actively larger step in living better for the sake of the environment.

  58. julie l April 12, 2012 at 10:24 am

I’m signed up for the newsletter and liked your page on Facebook (Julie Luhtala)

I’d love to win this for my mom!She recently had another heart attack, and I’m worried about her overall health. I think receiving eco-friendly products would be great for her! It might also get her into eating a more healthy, vegetarian diet! Thanks for the chance to win!

  59. composed April 12, 2012 at 10:17 am

My sister and I grew up without much. One year we saved up nickels all year to buy Christmas presents. Thankfully, growing up in Seattle meant we recycled, re-used, and re-gifted, and we’ve always loved giving each other meaningful gifts. Lost Crates are exactly the kinds of gifts I’ve always wanted to give my sister, which is why I’d give the subscription to her. If I could afford it I’d just buy it, but I know either way we’ll keep finding eco-friendly ways to express our love.

  60. ehershey April 12, 2012 at 10:13 am

I’d give it to my girlfirend because she’s the greatest!

  61. lbrunie April 12, 2012 at 9:47 am

I would keep it for myself. I considered myself environmentally conscious but can also be better- waste less and use more environmentally/ health friendly products! Pick me, please.

  62. heatherb April 12, 2012 at 9:45 am

I would send this to my sister, who was only just recently commenting that she would like to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle. Now I’d love these as well, but I think she needs it more. I would love to help her get started with this and to encourage her 3 children as well. I will quote her here:

“So I couldn’t help thinking back to one of Obama’s speeches where he quoted the Dali Lama. He said “Be the change you want the world to be”. Now I love this quote, but it’s really hard to be that change when you can’t afford the money that it takes to be that change, when just going to work costs an arm and a leg in gas… Seriously, there are little things, like I want to be able to eat meat where I know the animal was grass fed and treated with the respect it should have been, but its like $4 a pound just for chicken raised humanely. Well, I can’t spend that money because I have to pay for necessities that cost more and more money every time I turn around… I just want to know that during their life they were treated well. But that’s just one issue as far as all the things that I would like to do and see change about the society. For example, I would totally love to have solar power really take off, but those panels are so expensive.

  63. April 12, 2012 at 9:15 am

Sounds like fun! Enter me in!

  64. sneakers April 12, 2012 at 8:58 am

I am a musician and must travel a lot for work and because of my travel, I miss many family birthdays, aniversaries and even some holidays. By nature, I am somewhat chaotic and quite unorganized. About half the time I buy or make gifts ahead of time for my siblings and my aging mother(of course always “green”, recycled or up-cycled.I leave the gifts wrapped and ready before I leave, so they can open it on a birthday. But more often than not, my chaotic side takes over and I forget. Then I have to beg my siblings for last minute help to rescue me-which has made me the black sheep in the family! Please save me from further frustraion and bring peace to our family by giving me the goodie boxes! Please help this over-worked and under-paid musician! I am even willing to sing for them!

  65. quozzle April 12, 2012 at 8:00 am

Already get the newletter and like you on FB! I would give the prize to my Mom because it can be years sometimes between visits and I love to gift for no reason! And whatever she didn’t use, she would pass on to my sisters or donate at church. A win all around!

  66. meadow230 April 12, 2012 at 6:03 am

I would give this crate to my three boys and explain to them benefits of eco friendly products. They would be so excited to get something in the mail and in turn get excited about the enviroment.

  67. elizeibari April 12, 2012 at 5:57 am

There are so many reasons why I’d like to have this little bundle of excitement!

But here are my top 5 reasons:

    1. I’d give it to my fiancee because he was born and bred in Dubai, high consuming environmentally unaware place… (that is improving day by day!) and who is really starting to love all things green
    2. We’re starting a new business and want to implement green policies in our office to actually practice what we preach
    3. As mentioned, we live in Dubai and need lots of help =)
    4. We are generous souls and like to give gifts too, we will share the love and give items away to spread the fun and the message
    5. We want to test and then buy practical and innovative products for our own business give-aways!

I’m 66 and my husband is 76. It’s never too late to make a difference. Old dogs are never too old to train and it sound like your Lost Crate might do it!

  69. tkfree April 12, 2012 at 4:57 am

    i love lost crates! :)

  70. LB23 April 12, 2012 at 4:29 am

I would love to win this competition for two reasons. First of all I’d like to be able to give crates (when I write ‘crates’ read ‘treats’) to my mum and my brother. After the past three months which have seen a lot of upset and a bereavement they need a bit of cheering up. As chief family clown I think I could do that by giving them a gift each month and something sustainable would be right up my street. The second reason is that I’ve spent the past four years trying to get greener and this would be like a cherry on the top. I’ve cut our energy bills by about a third, our water bills by nearly half, cut our household waste by two thirds and increased our recycling by about 80% (two old armchairs have just been picked up by a local recycling firm).

I have not received a surprise gift in years. During my youth, most gifts were always practical in nature and always something I needed. If it was something less practical, my family and friends always made sure it was something I wanted, so there was never any surprise. In adulthood, I am apparently to old to receive surprise gifts. I would love to win this, so that I can experience the joy that comes with thoughtful gifts and the anticipation that comes with the mystery of opening a lost crate.

I am a designer and for me this kit is the reserach opportynity at the first place. I believe that sustainability must be at the top of prioritites for every sphere of life, but all I can do is to develop the design and to spread it through Russia and further to make an impact which i trully believe in.Also as a member of AIESEC organisation I organise Ecological Conferences and Events and this kit as well is a good idea and motivation boost for concepts and extra prizes for our conference delegates and speakers. I think this opportunity should spread around the globe and I hope to place a great step in Russian and especially Moscow Community. Thank you.

I would love to give this to my sister, who is eight months pregnant. She has developed hardcore anxiety during her pregnancy about keeping everything around her safe and healthy (to the point of leaving all of the windows open in the middle of winter after the house is cleaned–even with natural products, applying safe hair products with organic cotton balls, carting around negative air machines, and much much more). I want to show her that being eco-friendly and healthy can be fun. Surprise gifts for a tired new mom are also delightful!

  74. andyhop April 12, 2012 at 2:40 am

    Just because!

  75. whidone April 12, 2012 at 2:13 am

I am intrigued by new and interesting design in many materials. I am constantly amazed by things hand-made on sites such as Etsy, where artisans from the world-over show their wares. I have just discovered Lost Crates, and will enjoy the site. I absolutely love getting anonymous things in the mail, a box of surprises every month is a thrilling prospect. I never receive gifts anymore, and this would certainly brighten my year! Please consider me for your winner! Thank you.

  76. archilulu April 12, 2012 at 1:52 am

I would keep it to myself because it’s awesome! :)

  77. renita April 12, 2012 at 1:20 am

I would give Lost Crates to my sister Ronnie; she’s had a tough year and it would cheer her up to get a mystery surprise every month!

  78. marieyi April 12, 2012 at 12:33 am

As a environmentally conscientious resident in S.F. I have a lot more to learn and this crate give away can come really handy. I just got my gray recycling system put in and my rain barrels are nice an full. Looking forward the summer.

  79. cassieplayspiano April 12, 2012 at 12:10 am

These look so awesome! I want one! I’m going to cross my fingers and hopefully one of these appear on my porch next week:)

  80. cassieplayspiano April 11, 2012 at 11:57 pm

These look awesome! I’m going to keep my fingers crossed and hopefully one of these end up at my house soon!

  81. boethos1 April 11, 2012 at 10:54 pm

I’d like to give a subscription to my honey bunny. She works for the state dept of environmental protection and works hard at keeping the water supply clean and safe for everyone. That’s a big job an a most important one!

  82. David Danenfelzer April 11, 2012 at 10:28 pm

I’d give it all to my wife. My green veggie honey is always on the prowl for new eco-smart housewares and goods, but with two growing boys we don’t always have enough time to find the best. Lost Crates would be like a direct deposit into our green household improvement account.

    Thanks Inhabitat

i am a very generous person. i am. i know it. however since all my friends have jobs and i do not…much to my chagrin bordering on bitterness fought daily if not hourly, i would have to say the loved one in my life i’d give an eco-crate subscription to is me me me. i deserve to win because i have had so many negative stressors trying tob find work. i can’t seem to find anyone who is hiring. i am smart and experienced, two things which apparently are no longer valued in our society. seriously. it’s shocking how many obstacles i’ve overcome. i have no family here. i have friends and they help but no one can save me. the food stamp idiots made an error which mean i had to go to court, plead my case in front of a judge and then only after 4 long months of fuming in anger and having literally no food except my one meal daily via a local homeless shelter did i finally get them to put the food stamp money in my account so i could actually eat normal food and eat groceries. this ordeal made me so famished and i would go to sleep from pure primal hunger that i ended up losing 22 pounds between jan 3 and april 1. this is not ideal for a way to lose weight but i did. i felt true hunger. however i still kept up a brave face and with my boyfriend’s help moneywise and moral support-wise, i managed to keep my sanity. this is just the start of why want to win. why? because after what i’ve gone through, NO ONE will appreciate it more than me.

  84. carolynishis April 11, 2012 at 10:26 pm

I would love to send this to my hubby. He would absolutely love this! I am signed up for the newsletter.

  86. debatoside April 11, 2012 at 9:36 pm

I would give this to my sister, a very closed-minded southerner, though I love her to death. I would love to get her up to speed with being as eco-friendly as she possibly could strive to be, a surprise package each month just might be what it would take to get her to be GREEN!

  87. rubytom April 11, 2012 at 9:33 pm

I would like to have a lost crate mysteriously appear in my mailbox

  88. mixedgreenspreschool April 11, 2012 at 9:32 pm

I would love to win this super duper awesome prize myself so that I could share all the goodies with all the fabulous families who share their cool kids with me! I run an Eco-Healthy Child Care, Mixed Greens Preschool, and we’re always on the hunt for fun eco-groovy gear!

Pretty Please with granola on top!!

  89. melissa mc April 11, 2012 at 9:29 pm

i’m in it to win it — ty so much for this super giveaway!!

  90. eseberg April 11, 2012 at 9:25 pm

This would definitely go to my wife. I’m not having much luck getting her to go green. Maybe this would stimulate her to get going.

  91. eseberg April 11, 2012 at 9:19 pm

This would definitely be for my wife. I’m having trouble getting her to go green. Maybe this would stimulate her interest enough to get serious.

  92. sklippmann April 11, 2012 at 8:58 pm

i deserve to win it! i work in a sustainable/green/eco-friendly holistic interior architecture firm, and as the head green designer, i am always striving to stay on top of all the green products that are out there so we can recommend the ones we like, and the ones we think make a difference, to our clients. we also love specifying them in our designs!

  93. retrodaisy April 11, 2012 at 8:51 pm

Well, I’d nominate my husband to receive these fun crates! He loves good design & conservation. He also chuckles at all my online purchases on our front porch – about time he gets something!

  94. dhuddles April 11, 2012 at 8:51 pm

I often get mail that makes me less green (bills). I would LOVE mail that helps me be more green. (And anything I don’t need I can gift to friends making them green and happy too!)

  95. shandee April 11, 2012 at 8:44 pm

I would love to win this for myself, surprise goodie boxes in the mail are a fantastic way to turn an average day into an excellent one. And if it’s green and eco-friendly, then even better!

  96. robmir23 April 11, 2012 at 8:23 pm

I would subscribe my brother to show him how beautiful and inspiring green products can be!

It’s not at all just about making alien concepts such as ethical and sustainable “trendy” or even financing those who have come up with smart and productive ideas..

Receiving goodies and/or emails is one of the powerful and random creative sparks that too many of us decide to ignore every day.. just like when you walk down a street and are too immersed in your thoughts to take notice of the unfolding trees or buds of a tree.. or even the simple but sublime flow of lines that converge organically from the thirsty roots to the solid and organized trunk and then diverge again into the infinite sea of small and indepenent green capillaries which we call leaves

I wish all structures and architecture were like this!

  97. mell April 11, 2012 at 8:21 pm

I would give the subscription to myself.

  98. GreenMe April 11, 2012 at 8:16 pm

Pick me so that i can prove to my dad that being a green treehugger (whom i also subscribe to) is not a waste of time and that there are awesome ideas out there that can replace this dinosaur thinking and get this…actually work! green is the best colour ever, one cynic at a time!

  99. veener April 11, 2012 at 8:11 pm

i would keep this awesome eco crate for myself!
but would share with my wonderful hubby, of course!
we are having a baby this year, and some free green items would come in really really handy!

  100. veener April 11, 2012 at 8:07 pm
