Hello! I am a highschool student, and have always been a firm believer in a green lifestyle and have always been interested in green technology. I am thinking about maybe going into work around green technology after college. I would like to win this iPad because for one I would get to show people that you can get cool stuff by supporting things promoting being environmentally friendly, and it might open their minds to thinking that being green isn’t so bad, which I have been telling them for a while. Also, if I won the iPad I would be able to do further research about green technology on the go. I have written numerous papers on Wind Power and other green technologies, and it would be great to be able to write more on an iPad. I am an avid reader, and I would use the iPad to read books wherever I am. I would also be able to write papers during trips so I wouldn’t have to waste paper. I hope you consider me, and thanks for doing this contest, I think no-matter who gets the iPad, they will be able to tell everyone they got it from a great website like this. Thanks!

I would love an iPad for so many reasons! It is beautiful and its accessibility features are impressive. I would enjoy sharing it with a dear friend who is visually impaired; she could read newspapers on it instead of having to rely on paper with large print! Personally, I often print articles to share with friends and co-workers. Because of its easy portability, I could carry the iPad with me and share articles right on the screen rather than on printouts.

I would be able to research more consistently and constant on reducing the embodied energy and carbon foot print of concrete. It could read the documents and search for more while I walk to and from school as well as when I am traveling. Thus, increasing my efficiency and productivity ten fold. This would allow me to complete my thesis on my Graduate program with the most relevant and pertinent information on concrete and making it “greener.” This would not only be significant for me but the community of concrete, the industry, and the university which I attend, who, has no research performed on concrete what so ever and of meaning to the environment and sustainability. Therefore, it would be helping all of humanity not just my self.
