GLOBAL WARMING FLOODS LONDON… In Second Life
Posted By Jill Danyelle On April 9, 2007 @ 3:39 pm In Green Graphics & Packaging,New York City | 3 Comments
A temporary flood sent avatars scrambling for the rooftops in several virtual places, including London, the Netherlands [5], and Ibiza [6]. David de Rothschild, founder of Adventure Ecology [7], staged the global warming related flood in the popular virtual world Second Life [8]. Read the National Geographic [9] account for the full story. Apparently avatars were calm, some pub going avatars just climbed into boats and continued on with their pints while the conversation shifted to global warming.
p.s. New Yorkers, don’t forget to sign up for Sea of People [10], and you cannot send your avatar for this one!
