missing the point….
15% eff. improvement is not something to be snide about. Nor is an gasoline engine that somehow manages to control “detonation” and not end up with holes in the pistons, that’s actually pretty neat.

Good job GM, NOT! Look at VW’s diesel and get back to us when you’re operating in this century! Not that VW is anything to praise for being eco-friendly but at least they’re trying. This GM thing is cop-out!

Isn’t this basically a diesel engine? I guess the key issue is that they have applied diesel technology at higher pressures so that it works with gasoline.
