Safdie’s green-roofed residential development will hold 2,200 condominiums designed as 2nd home residences for families wanting a beach escape and primary homes for families living in Qinhuangdao. The beachfront community is designed to rethink urban living and is organized around a north and south beach boardwalk as well as an east and west bazaar-like spine. These integral pathways provide connections within the community as well as to the neighboring communities and the beach.
The development is composed of a series of four towers angled towards the beach and connected together via sky bridges. Private and public gardens will help create a lush garden environment. All of the apartments located on the stair step section of each tower open up to their own green-roofedprivate deck and enjoy views of the beach and environs. The project is slated for completion in 2014.
