Showcasing golden works from the bicycle capital [1] of Germany’s late medieval era, the exhibition space at Münster Domplatz (cathedral square) was cramped and easy to miss, so the small pavilion acts as a spillover. Also important to the overall goal for the exhibition was a demonstration of how gold artifacts are made, which combined with an information point is the principal function of the temporary star-shaped pavilion. [2]

Of course, we couldn’t promote a structure covered in real gold as a green project, but not to worry: the material for the golden facade comes from KME in Osnabrück [3] and is composed of copper alloy that is durable, long-lasting and easily re-used for future projects. We love temporary urban structures, and nobody makes them quite like this young German firm [4].
