A lot of the eco-friendly furniture we showcase here on Inhabitat has a more modern look, but if you’re looking for a piece with some old school charm, don’t miss this beautiful desk by restoration hardware . Made of reclaimed teak, its ornate legs will add just the right amount of flair to your office or study, and when topped with a piece of glass, the effect is actually quite contemporary.
Hand-carved and antiqued for an authentic look, the desk was inspired by an architectural feature from the Classical Period. The design itself is reproduced from an edifice in Philadelphia and the supports are crafted as they originally were in the Middle Ages. The dimensions of the desk overall are 60″W x 28″D x 31″H, and the glass top comes included.
