Gallery: Gorgeous Green-Roofed Black Sheep House Looks Out to Sea

Black Sheep House is probably the oldest inhabited house on the openness of Harris Island. A Blackhouse renovation, the house is a traditional type of building common within the Scottish Islands built with earth and stones double walls and wooden beams covered with turf or straw. It used to be for accommodating people or animals (in this case sheep), and sometimes they lived together, one at each ends separated with partitions in between.
