The historic stone chapel [3] was built from bluestone in 1877. Although the religious effects are long gone, the façade still boasts the original church bell [4], which rang for the small village that surrounded it over 100 years ago. The owners can imagine the hundreds of parishioners who walked up the path over the decades for their Sunday worship. [5]

Inside the arch-shaped door, visitors enter into the double-height living room. The interior has been transformed into an ultra-modern space, with sleek white walls that lead to the rustic wooden ceiling, and although the stained-glass windows [6] have sadly been replaced with regular panes, the original ornate arched shapes remain, juxtaposed against contemporary accessories like a pool table and a variety of modern art pieces.

The rear of the church [7] home is where the historic structure meets modern splendor. Bay windows are decorated with arched wooden panes to mimic the interior arcs, and windows open onto a giant outdoor dining area, which overlooks a gentle fountain. This home may be historic and quaint [8] on the outside, but its interior transformation is modern and sleek, marrying the best of both worlds.
