Gorillas may not be immediately associated with holistic lifestyles, but at Gorilla Furniture a holistic approach dictates the entire design process. Designers Dan Weber and Steve Wilson founded Santa Barbara-based Gorilla in 2005 with a mission to “encourage healthy lifestyles, environmental and social consciousness, creativity and open mindedness.” How? Through furniture that uses eco-friendly materials and considers our interaction with the built environment. The Diving Board Table pictured here uses recyclable steel and renewable bamboo, finished with non-toxic wax. The angular form, minimalist lines, and thoughtful combination of natural and industrial materials make this piece an ideal representation of environmentally-sensitive modern furniture. Anyone out there watched the Idol finale results show? Legendary singer Tom Jones performed while using the guys from the Americanidol season 10 top 13. Other performers taking to the stage for the final show with the tenth season included Lady Gaga and her elaborate stage show together with outfit. Marc Anthony, husband of judge Jennifer Lopez, sang along with his wife providing backup dancer flavor on the crowd.
