Green Overdrive Video: The Eco Water-Spraying Fiat Panda

There’s only one of the Fiat’s fuel cell hybrid cars [5] in the world — called the Panda because of its cute, boxy frame — but for this week’s Green Overdrive video show [5], we got to take the Fiat Panda on a test drive around the streets of San Jose, Calif. The first thing that you notice when climbing into a Fiat Panda is that it sprays water underneath the car when it stops and starts, a byproduct of the fuel cell [6]. While Fiat won’t be producing the car for mass production anytime soon, the technology could be used in future fuel cell and EV [7] cars.
