The Azaya Residence is Seattle-based Pb Elemental's latest project in their home town. After tearing down the dilapidated home that occupied the lot, the firm used the existing foundation to design and build the new three-bedroom home. The modern residence makes use of passive solar design, daylighting, natural ventilation and energy efficient systems to minimize energy use. Meanwhile rooftop decks and a green roof replace lost ground space.

    The Azaya residence really does go to show that green sustainable design concepts can be successfully integrated into contemporary design while still creating stunning architecture. And the best thing about this design is that there is a minimal impact to the local environment.
