These Chipicas Town Houses are a series of four beautiful residences in Mexico topped with lush green roof gardens. Alejandro Sanchez Garcia designed the buildings with vertical layouts in order to limit their footprint and preserve the surrounding vegetation. The three-story buildings incorporate contrasting facades - two have floor-to-ceiling windows and two are concealed behind timber lattice.
Built in 2009, the houses are nestled amidst a private garden in downtown Valle de Bravo, Mexico. Their shaded wooden exteriors help them blend in with their surroundings while filtering light so that the interiors doesn’t get too hot. The houses are spread over 720 square meters of land to ensure ample privacy for each residence. The project was designed by Alejandro Sanchez Garcia, Alfredo Cortes Tellez, Miguel Campero, and José Luis Salamanca.
