THE GREEN6 at ICFF

Design week is almost upon us in New York, and the biggest show of the season is of course, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair [5] at the Javits Center. This year, ICFF [5] is getting greened up by “The Green6, [6]” a booth dedicated entirely to providing gorgeous evidence of a new generation of design, in which sustainability is an indispensable aspect of a good product. Green6 will feature six of New York’s leading sustainable design studios: Brave Space [7] (makers of the long-adored [8] Tetris shelves [9]), Cambium Studio [10], Fire & Water [11], Niche Design [12], Moe Design Studio [13], and Vivavi [14] by Delano Collection [15].
The booth itself will be constructed with eco-friendly materials, donated by Bettencourt Green Building Supplies [16] (who are also hosting HauteGREEN [17]). No doubt after this weekend, nobody will be able to dispute the fact that good green design is not just emerging, it’s here.
