Heads up architects and green building buffs – the world’s largest sustainable building event, Greenbuild, is coming up in New Orleans from October 22-24! This year the Big Easy is hosting this prestigious international conference and expo, and thousands will visit from around the globe to discover the latest green design innovations, listen to renowned speakers, rub elbows with leading green building professionals, and tour the inspiring new sustainable infrastructure in New Orleans. If you’re considering attending, register before August 14th for early bird pricing!
The conference speaking series will be headlined by several inspiring speakers, including WELL Building Standard advisor Dr. Deepak Chopra; USGBC Vice President of Research Chris Pyke; and founder and CEO of Frontier Markets Ajaita Shah. Greenbuild will also host the Affordable Homes & Sustainable Communities Summit, Materials & Human Health Summit, and Vision 2020 Sustainability Summit. And for those looking to roll up their sleeves, LEED professionals will have the opportunity to earn up to seven hours of continuing education credits in several workshops.
This year’s celebrations, aptly dubbed “Leadership Jazz”, will chime on with a soulful southern tribute from the great Alabama Shakes and New Orleans’ native Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, capping off with an inspiring address from this year’s Closing Plenary, New York Times Op-Ed columnist David Brooks.
