The Greener Gadgets Conference [2] is returning to New York City this February, and promises to be even bigger and better than our inaugural event in 2008 [3]. We’ve been talking about it for the last few months [4], but now we have an exciting announcement we would like to make about the lineup of the conference. We are thrilled to announce that inventor, engineer and all-around-tech-renaissance man Saul Griffith [5] has signed on to give the keynote presentation for the event.

Dr. Saul Griffith [5] is an innovator and inventor of many talents who is best known for founding some of green tech’s most promising companies, including: the how-to website Instructables [6], wind power company Makani Power [7], portable kinetic energy company Potenco [8], engineering design company Squidlabs [9], and educational cartoon HowToons [10]. He recently won a MacArthur Genius Grant [11] for his inventions, has spoken at TED [12] (watch the video below), and regularly contributes to Make [13] and Craft Magazines [14]. We could not think of a person who better exemplifies the inventive and intrepid spirit of Greener Gadgets, and are thrilled to have Saul Griffith on board to keynote our event.
