Beetlejuice Halloween Costume by Bridget Geisler
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! Bridget Geisler wanted to make a bigger and better version of the corpulent Tim Burton ghoul - so she modeled her costume after the scene where Beetlejuice turns into a merry-go-round. To create the costume she bought a cheap black suit at Goodwill and then painted stripes on it with white fabric paint. The entire head piece is made out of poster board and cardboard and a lot of hot glue, and she used battery-operated lights from Michaels to illuminate it.
HOW TO MAKE THIS COSTUME
Find a cheap black suit at Goodwill and paint stripes on it using white fabric paint.
Assemble poster board around a baseball cap and then cut off the brim of the hat.
Assemble 6 triangle-shaped pieces of colored cardboard to make the shape of the merry-go-round.
Attach the battery-operated lights around the frame. Find 6 cheap toys to attach to the bottom of hat. That's it!
