Day of the Dead Sugar Skull Halloween Costume by Cally Creates

Cally Creates' colorful Halloween costume was inspired by the sugar skulls and iconography of Mexico's Dia de los Muertos celebration.

HOW TO MAKE THIS COSTUME

Step 1:

Take an old white long-sleeved shirt and use a marker to draw bones onto it.

Step 2:

Use makeup to create a colorful sugar skull face painting.

Step 3:

Take a ragged old wig (preferably one that's destined for the trash) and cut and style it. Tie a vintage scarf around it to top it off.

Step 4:

Add flowers to the wig, mixing some homemade ones, old flowers shop display flowers and even rings and brooches.
