Ray Bradbury's Halloween Trees Costumes by Bonnie and Beth Abelew
Bonnie and Beth Abelew dressed as Halloween Trees from the Ray Bradbury novel. The costumes are made completely by hand. Bonnie and Beth covered brown shirts and pants with pieces of bark made by painting craft foam with textured paint and cutting out bark shapes, and their branches are made from wire covered with brown felt and attached to the shirts with looped on Velcro. The duo added fall leaves, crows, and pumpkins which really light up (they each have a battery operated tea light inside), and their headpieces are made of felt with a nest on top, a large crow, and eggs made from model magic.
