Gallery: GREENTEA RECLAIMED WOOD FURNITURE

We love to see designers using reclaimed wood in their products – it’s more beautiful, interesting, and of course more environmentally-friendly than virgin wood. A great example is GreenTea Designs, an online furniture store that sells Asian-inspired contemporary furniture made from recycled and reclaimed wood.

This is a huge trend which we are seeing on this end (the manufacturers end) as well. Customers are requesting it specifically – and actually, it looks pretty good anyways. If you want to have a look at actually what goes on in creating these reclaimed wood pieces, have a look over here at this post which explains the process:

I really like this! It looks great, it’s green, it’s sustainable. What more could you ask for?

I love the color of this wood! It reminds me of a lot of the reclaimed wood pieces we import from Indonesia. Most of our Asian furniture http://www.tansu.net pieces have a contemporary European design fused with an Asian flair. And in the land of Asian furniture goes, it does’nt come much sturdier than Teak!

What beautiful pieces! Even though I am into retro furniture, I would consider this for our guest room! I am still looking around, and just bought some great bar stools from http://www.americanchairs.com They have great stuff for the retro decorator!
