With Hallows' Eve upon us, you may be wondering how to best protect yourself from the hordes of the undead. However one canny homeowner has designed a super secure home that could outlast an impending zombie apocalypse. At the push of a button, all of the home's windows and doors can be instantly secured, turning the once open home into an impenetrable block of concrete.
The house is actually designed by architecture firm KWK Promes and is located in Warsaw, Poland. The owners wanted a residence with maximum security, and the architects essentially developed the structure as a concrete monolith. The home is clad in a cement-bonded particleboard and painted to match the shade and finish of the local architecture. Electronic, lightweight, steel trusses make transforming the mass into an open and airy space fuss-free.
Even if the zombie apocalypse never happens, the home is perfect for those that don’t want any unwanted visitors or have no desire to speak to the neighbors. Once the doors are secure, the windows are closed, and the drawbridge (yes, it has a drawbridge), it would appear that no one is getting in!
