The lightweight steam room can be can be easily assembled in a wide-open space indoors or left outside on a rooftop for enjoying the fresh air when popping out. The streamlined design of the steam bubble sauna and the flooded floor contrasted with the industrial context to make this beautiful project stand out from the rest.

Harm Rensink’s gorgeous Urban Spa provided visitors at this year’s busy Dutch Design Week with a tranquil private space to forget about work and start dreaming away.

As an alternate: bury 6 empty electrical conduits, cut to 18″ in the ground in an area ~5×8 feet. Place an outdoor lounge in the space. Insert bendable PVC pipes of ~12 feet into the conduits, then bend to meet in the center above your head. Wrap in transparent outdoor construction film. You have a wind free, solar heated, outdoor lounge for ~$50 USD.
