Apparently crime is down in Hong Kong , because the historical district is trying to figure out what to do with the disused Central Police Station. Architecture giants Herzog and De Meuron in collaboration with Purcell Miller Tritton presented an option last year to turn the jail into a non-profit visual arts space . The art organization Asia Art Archive (AAA), in partnership with the British curator David Elliott acting as consultant to the project, are fully supportive of the project and funding has been found. Transformation of the 19th century British-colonial jail is hoped to be locked down by 2014.
