Homegrown Concessions to Serve Up Organic Food at Super Bowl XLVI

Fans who are lucky enough to attend this year’s Super Bowl XLVI in person will be able to nosh on farm-fresh organic food provided by Homegrown Concessions, a partnership between Farm Aid and Centerplate. Homegrown will be serving up organic chili to hungry fans, and best of all, Centerplate will donate $2 to Farm Aid for every bowl of chili sold at the Super Bowl!
Along with Farm Aid co-founder John Melloncamp, Homegrown Chili aims to satisfy Super Bowl attendees while raising awareness of local family farmers . Farming is an integral part of Indiana, and as Mellencamp, an Indiana native, says, fostering family farms is as important as the organic and fresh foods they produce.
Super Bowl fans can enjoy Organic Vegetarian Chili with beans from the Fields of Agape Cooperative , hormone and anti-biotic free pork chili from Stanley and Evan Hall Farms, or hormone and anti-biotic beef Chili from Patty Reding of Langeland Farms.
Homegrown is the first organic concessions to ever be offered at the Super Bowl. We hope their success paves the way for more organic goodies to be offered in future games!
