Back in the 80s, Honda created a unique folding electric motorcycle called the Motocompo. Now the automaker is updating the unique scooter with its modernized “Motor Compo” version, which it displayed at the Tokyo Motor Show. The bike is less than 1 meter in length and height, and it features a removable battery that can be used as an emergency power source.
While the original Motocompo looked like a small rider mower, the new design takes its design cues from the Honda humanoid robot Asimo and the U3-X personal mobility system. We love how the body looks just a bit like a cassette tape player, which does harken back to the 80s, albeit in a different way than the original. Check out the smartphone docking station and other details in the photos below, and let us know what you think of this modern people mover.
