The Honda X-Track concept is perfect for environmentally-conscious drivers who want a flashy sports car — sometimes. Designed by Nikita Kalinin, the hybrid vehicle features a transforming body that can switch between a fuel-efficient street mode and a high-performance track mode.
In street mode, the car’s aerodynamic body panels cut down on drag to increase fuel efficiency. In track mode, the body panels and headlamps can be removed to cut down on the vehicle’s weight, increasing speed (and ramping up the vehicle‘s sporty look).
The X-Track also comes with KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) hybrid technology, which stores kinetic energy from braking in lithium-ion batteries. No word on when (or if) this vehicle will be released, but we’ll keep an eye out!

I want one!! I would trade my 1988 Honda CRX Si that still gets 34mpg for this in a second.
We don’t want any more “pretty” gas guzzlers. Show the electrics. Show some of the solar canopy designers that are coordinating the look of the car to match the canopy. There are so many higher levels of cleanness that these manufacturers are missing.
Put an on line competition to design the best looking solar canopy for the latest electric vehicles. Show the bottom line cost from using the free energy from the sun.
