How Practical is Green Motoring Where You Live?

Given that the average mileage of an alternative energy vehicle is around 60 miles, are electric vehicles a reasonable choice for the average person? This infographic by Sixt draws attention to some of the practical aspects of green motoring in the U.S. based on the number of alternative energy stations within each state. It looks as though if you mostly run errands, a lack of ‘pumps’ shouldn’t much of an issue. However, if you live in one of the less equipped states you may be simply chained within a 30 mile radius of the pump. What do you think? Do you live in one of the greener states?
