How To: Make Organic Apple Chips In 3 Easy Steps

Prepare your oven by heating it to 225 degrees Fahrenheit.
We used some fresh, tart heirloom Belle de Boskoop apples from the local farmer’s market. For making apple chips, it’s especially important to choose organic since you will be slicing the apples whole, including the skin – where sprays and other chemicals are most likely to collect.
Using a sharp knife, carefully slice the whole apples into thin rounds. As you cut, simply remove the stem and seeds, which should fall out onto the cutting board, and discard.
Admire your freshly baked apple chips with a star-shaped center that forms naturally due to the shape of the core. Dish up a bowl of apple chips and pass them around!
