Hurricane Irene Expected to Hit NYC as Category 1 Storm with 90mph Winds on Sunday

As the threat of Hurricane Irene looms over the East Coast, we’re worried about NYC withstanding the storm. New York’s skyscrapers [4] are built to withstand hurricane strength winds, but we’re expecting some serious flooding throughout the city that will likely cause big problems for New Yorkers in the aftermath.
