Hurricane Sandy Victims in Rockaways Could Remain Powerless Until Mid-December

Many people displaced by Hurricane Sandy have since returned to their homes only to learn that they might be without electricity for another month. Some residents of the Rockaways and Hamilton Beach are still without power, and the latest reports indicate that it could take LIPA through mid-December to get things up and running again.
