Light artists Luzinterruptus [1] recently spotlit 50 small ecosystems living in the harshest and greyest areas of Madrid by creating tiny “greenhouses” around them. The exhibition, called Implanted Nature, called attention to insignificant weeds growing in the most unexpected places by playfully placing plastic animal toys around them. The result was an homage to the tenacious plants, paying respect to their spontaneity and ability to spring forth in some of the bleakest parts of the city.
