I found tool online that showed me how much I could save. but, one thing I discovered was that I have to start shopping in Lumens instead of watts. I am still looking for affordable, high-lumen LED lights. Do you have any suggestions? From what I've seen an LED bulb can be much cheaper than others if you calculate total cost of ownership over a 23 year period. Total cost of energy used should be displayed as well. Compared to incandescents, both should cost less over the long run due both to requiring fewer replacements and using less energy. I've got my house about 80% switched over and am replacing the last few heat lamps as they burn out.
