On the eve of the International Panel on Climate Change’s fifth assessment report, it’s a good time to remind ourselves that curbing greenhouse gas emissions is the best way to address climate change. In 2010, the world emitted 50 gigatons of greenhouse gasses, which are shown in the infographic above.  While some of the industrial gases are hard to substitute, readers of Inhabitat are should be well aware of solutions in the fields of green building, efficient transportation, and renewable energy.
