People have been creating art to inspire and communicate ideas to one another since we first put handprints on cave walls, and here at Inhabitat, we’ve been fortunate enough to discover some of the most breathtaking art pieces from around the world. Over the past year, we’ve seen a hand-knit hammock stretched across a Utah chasm, and an ocean of poppies spilling out from the Tower of London. Eerie underwater sculptures have given us a chilling view of the future after climate change, and an anatomical Barbie offered a glimpse into the impossible internal workings of that iconic doll, while photo galleries showcased a child’s African animal companions, as well as the oldest living organisms on the planet. Which story did you like best?
