Each spring the White House rolls out some fun with their annual Easter Egg Roll. This year the event, which is held annually on the White House South Lawn, will feature live music, sports, healthy cooking stations, storytelling and Easter egg rolling — all with a focus on encouraging children to lead healthy and active lives — which lines up with Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” campaign to combat childhood obesity. Furthermore, the souvenir Easter eggs used in this year’s egg rolling festivities are made in the U.S. with FSC-certified hardwood, vegetable-oil based inks and a water-based coating. The eggs come in four vibrant colors: pink, yellow, green, and purple and include the stamped signatures of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. Even if your child can’t attend the actual egg roll, he can score his very own eco-friendly souvenir Easter egg from the National Park Foundation.
