1. Gather the ingredients

  • 1 mason jar with lid
  • 1/2 mason jar of oats
  • a handful of mixed nuts
  • 3 dried plums
  • a tsp of brown sugar
  • water

2. Gather some nuts

Pick the nuts mix you desire or have at hand. We used equal parts of chia, sesame and sunflower seeds as well as cashew and walnuts.

3. Activate the seeds the night before

Activate the seeds the night before by placing them at the bottom of the jar with just enough water to cover them. Leave them in the fridge overnight.

4. Add the oats the morning after

Take the jar out of the fridge in the morning and simply add the oats, until you reach 1/3 of the jar (the empty space will help with the mixing).

5. Add hot water

Add hot water until you just about cover the oats.

6. Add some sweetness

Add some sugar or syrup, and the dry fruits of your choice (we used dried plums).

7. Shake it

Put the lid on and give it a good shake.

8. Open up and enjoy

Stir some more using a spoon if you need to and munch away directly out of the jar. Enjoy!
